right to invest 2

continuation from the previous blog

Is it right when millions are practically starving in our country. You decide, after you calculate the present value of the holdings our President is holding in these companies .Few simple steps will help you to calculate it.

1.visit www.bseindia.com

2.login

3.go to company filing /shareholding pattern./select any public sector company

4.find the number of shares held by govt of India/President of India

5.multiply today's market price with the number of shares.

for eg.

sail(steel authority of India)number of shares held by Govt of India
3,544,690,285 multiplied by 159 (last traded price as on 3nd july 2009)
you will be astonished to see that it is worth
56360,57,55,315.00 (fifty six thousand three hundred and sixy crores fifty seven lakhs fifty five thousand three hundred and fifteen only)

85.83 % is held by just one holder while the balance 14% is held by more than 35lakh people.

is it not sufficient to eliminate poverty from our country.

think and help me to calculate the other psu companies worth held by the President of India.

help eliminate poverty by disinvestment in favour of millions.

To be continued.

Ningal enne shoodran aakki (You have made me an untouchable)

One of the leading newspapers asked our chief minister Mr Achuthanandan to list the most important change that has happened in Kerala since Independance. His answer was 'the blind belief that only Brahmins and Kshathriyas have the right to own land has changed.'

Yes, it is defenitly a great change regarding the land. Now I am a "Brahmin" because I have the RIGHT TO INVEST IN LAND upto fifteen acres.

Oh no! Mr Achuthanandan is still blind regarding my right to invest in other areas. He is considering 97% of our population as "shoodras" and is not allowing to invest in good avenues of business. Such good investment opportunities are to be enjoyed only by the new set of "brahmins" who have passed IAS, IPS OR PSC WITHOUT INVESTING A SINGLE RUPEE.

Is this right? More on this topic later....
